Prof. Decheng Wan

Director of the Computational Hydrodynamics LAB (CMHL) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Biography: 

Decheng Wan is Director of the Computational Hydrodynamics LAB (CMHL) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Distinguished Professor under the Changjiang Scholars Program. He holds multiple honors, including the Shanghai Eastern Scholar Tracking Program and Excellent Talent of the New Century by the Ministry of Education, and serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of Strathclyde (UK), Zhejiang University, and Dalian University of Technology. His research focuses on ship and ocean engineering hydrodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid-structure interaction, vortex-induced vibrations, turbulence simulation, offshore wind power, renewable energy device performance, and the integration of CFD with machine learning and big data for marine structure optimization and performance prediction. Wan has published over 500 papers and holds more than 50 patents and software copyrights. His contributions include advancements in CFD methods, numerical fluid-structure interaction, high-performance computing, and numerical tank software development. He is recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists and as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier. Awards include the Zhou Peiyuan Hydrodynamics First Prize, CH Kim Award (ISOPE), International Moan-Faltinsen Best Paper Award, and others.Currently, Wan serves as President of ISOPE, Chairman of its International Hydrodynamics Committee, and holds leadership roles in several international and national professional organizations and conferences related to ship hydrodynamics, wind power structures, and marine engineering. He is an editorial board member of multiple international and domestic scientific journals in ocean and computational engineering. Previously, he held key administrative roles at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, including Deputy Director positions in research management, advanced technology institutes, and academic departments.

Prof. Yuehong Qian

National Outstanding Youth Fund Recipient, 

National Candidate of New Century Hundred Million Talents Project

Biography:

Yuehong Qian, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, National Outstanding Youth Fund Recipient, graduated from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), majoring in engines in 1984, and received his Ph.D. degree in Statistical Physics from Paris Hautes Etudes in 1990. He worked for many years at the Institute for Computational Fluids in Tokyo, Princeton University and Columbia University, and was invited by Mr. Qian Weichang to be a Distinguished Professor at Shanghai University in 2005, and a Distinguished Professor at Soochow University in 2018. His main research area is fluid dynamics. He is mainly engaged in theoretical and applied research on high-performance supercomputing, including the fields of aerodynamics, multiphase flow, blood flow, ocean flow, weather prediction, environmental fluids, magnetohydrodynamics, and high-performance parallel computing.

Prof. Wei Li

Dean of School of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering of HUST

Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China

Biography:

Wei Li , Professor. He is currently serving as a member of the Modal Analysis and Test Committee of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, a member of the Marine Engineering Group of Ship Mechanics, a member of the Board of Directors of Marine Engineering, a vice-chairman of Shipbuilding Technology, and an editorial board member of Ship and Sea Engineering. His main research fields include ship vibration and underwater acoustics. He has published more than 100 academic papers in domestic and international journals and important academic conferences, of which more than 30 are SCI indexed and more than 50 are EI indexed. His research interests include ship vibration and noise control, underwater target acoustic characterization, and the development and application of new algorithms for structural vibration and acoustics. Prof. Li Wei has participated in a number of scientific research projects. As a project leader, he has participated in the National Natural Science Foundation of China's youth projects, such as the theoretical study of three-dimensional acoustic imaging of underwater objects based on slope response, and the computational method of acoustic scattering field of complex elastic body and its three-dimensional shape inversion study underwater.
